Kyle of Lochalsh – Eilean Donan Castle. Armadale, Skye – Armadale Castle and Clan Donald Centre.
Partially destroyed in a Jacobite uprising in 1719, Eilean Donan Castle lay in ruins for the best part of 200 years until Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap bought the island in 1911 and restored the castle to its former glory. We trace the legacy of Clan Donald at the Museum of The Isles housed in the grounds of Armadale Castle.

At Glenfinnan, visit the iconic monument honouring the fallen Jacobite clansmen, framed by spectacular Highland scenery. Raise your bonnet to the lone kilted Highlander on the top of the tower designed by Scottish architect James Gillespie Graham.

Transit Neptune’s Staircase and sail the Caledonian Canal to Fort Augustus.
From sea level, Lord of the Highlands ascends the spectacular eight interconnected locks of Neptune’s Staircase to Banavie, and we spend the day relaxing on board as we transit the length of the canal which connects the Great Glen’s four lochs.
