Wednesday 31st July to Thursday 8th August 2024
Truly the Emerald Isle, lush green by nature of its mild and moist climate, Eire is a jewel, wrapped in history and legend, blessed with inspirational landscapes and wildlife. Cruise south to Cork, along stunningly beautiful coastlines, to discover the magic and mystery of this ancient isle from the sea.
Wednesday 31st July
Embarkation took place in Dublin, Eire, where we remained overnight.
Thursday 1st August
After breakfast, guests travelled to Kilruddery House Gardens for an enjoyable morning visit with refreshments.
During lunch we set sail on passage to our overnight anchorage off Dunmore East.
Friday 2nd August
This morning we berthed alongside in Waterford, where a coach was available to take guests to visit Johnstown Castle, a fairy-tale, Gothic revival castle. Luncheon was served at the castle café.
After lunch guests embarked on a coach tour of Wexford city and Hook Lighthouse before returning the vessel in Waterford. We anchored in Dunvargen overnight.

Saturday 3rd August
After spending the morning cruising the south east coast of Ireland, we arrived in Kinsale for an afternoon food-themed walking tour with a local guide. When we arrived the Mayor of Kinsale exchanged gifts with Captain Davidson as this was our first visit to Kinsale
We anchored off Cobh overnight.
Sunday 4th August
This morning we berthed alongside in Cobh, for a city tour of Cork with a local guide. Later, we drove to the Shelbourne Bar where guests enjoyed an Irish coffee each and the barman gave us a short talk about the drink.
After lunch, guests had the option to visit the Cobh Heritage Centre or explore Cobh independently.
We remained alongside in Cobh overnight.
Monday 5th August
This morning guests travelled to the Old Middleton Distillery for a tour and tasting.
We spent the afternoon cruising on passage towards our overnight anchorage in Dunvargen.
Tuesday 6th August
Guests spent the day relaxing on board as we sailed towards our overnight berth in Dublin.
Wednesday 7th August
Today was spent exploring Dublin. The morning tour with a local guide included a stop at Phoenix Park to walk through the walled garden with a coffee stop.
The afternoon excursion to St. Patrick’s and Christ Church Cathedrals allowed guests to explore with audio guides or enjoy free time in Dublin.
We remained alongside in Dublin, Eire, overnight tonight.
Thursday 8th August
Guests disembarked after breakfast and were transferred to the airport for their flights home.
