Friday 16th to Monday 26th August 2024
Hebridean Princess heads back to home waters, carrying with her hypnotic images of the ruggedly beautiful Irish coast, backed by a lush hinterland of breathtaking mountains and glens. Drawn by an irresistible lure, we sail to the jewel of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man, en route to Oban.
Friday 16th August
Guests embarked in Dun Laoghaire where we remained overnight.
Saturday 17th August
After a morning city tour of Dublin, guests had the option to visit the Bru na Boinne World Heritage Site, Ireland’s richest archaeological landscape, or the Hill of Tara and Trim Castle.





















We anchored off Clogherhead overnight.
Sunday 18th August
This morning guests enjoyed a visit to Carlingford for walks ashore in the charming medieval village.





During the afternoon passage of the Irish Sea towards the Isle of Man, our guest speaker Michael Buerk will delivered the first of his talks in the Tiree Lounge.
We arrived and berthed alongside in Peel, Isle of Man this evening where we remained overnight.
Monday 19th August
Today was spent exploring the Isle of Man from Peel. The morning tour included Peel castle and the House of Mannanan, in the afternoon a coach was available to take guests to visit the Laxey Wheel, Tynwald Hill and Royal Chapel.


















After dinner a local entertainment was provided in the Tiree Lounge by Triskelle with an evening of music, dance and local folklore.

We remained alongside in Peel, Isle of Man overnight.
Tuesday 20th August
This morning’s tour of Castletown included a visit to Castle Rushen.

After lunch, the afternoon was spent on a Steam Train tour to Douglas Railway station.









When all guests were safely back on board, we set sail across the Irish Sea to Bangor Bay where we remained overnight.
Wednesday 21st August
Today was spent exploring Grey Abbey House with luncheon served at the house. In the afternoon there was free time to explore the grounds and gardens of the estate.






We arrived and berthed in Larne, Northern Ireland this evening where we remained overnight.
Thursday 22nd August
This morning’s port of call was Queen’s Island in Belfast, birthplace of the Titanic and the exhibition of the same name.











In the afternoon guests embarked on a city tour of Belfast with local guide Declan Boyle.
We remained alongside in Larne overnight. Thanks to Trevor Kidd for these fabulous shots of the ship in Larne.









Friday 23rd August
A full day on the Antrim coast included the Giant’s Causeway, lunch at the Bushmills Inn and a tour of the Bushmills Distillery.

Saturday 24th August
Today guests enjoyed a morning tour of Glenarm Castle Gardens.








We spent the afternoon cruising the North Channel on passage to Scotland, during which guest speaker Michael Buerk gave his final talk in the Tiree Lounge.
We anchored in Loch na Mile, Isle of Jura overnight.
Sunday 25th August
Morning strolls along the Crinan Canal allowed guests to discover the picturesque Rennie and Telford waterway.
During lunch we sailed to Ardfern Marina for our final visit to the Kilmartin Glen Museum, rich in ancient treasures.
We anchored in Oban Bay overnight where the farewell gala dinner was held.
Monday 26th August
We returned to our home port of Oban this morning where disembarkation took place. We hope that all our guests have enjoyed this exploration of the Celtic Coasts.
