In terms of population, the village of Lamlash is the largest settlement on Arran. Lamlash is 4 miles south of Brodick on the east coast of Arran. The village is based around a sheltered bay and is home to the island’s only high school, hospital and local government offices. Lamlash Bay offers spectacular coastal views towards Holy Island, which is owned by Tibetan monks who run a retreat at the lighthouse.
