North Ronaldsay is the most remote of the Orkney Isles, further north than the southern tip of Norway. There are a number of Neolithic sites on the island including stone burial cists, standing stones and the Broch of Burrian. The lighthouse on North Ronaldsay is the tallest land-based lighthouse in Britain, rising to a height of over 100 ft with views on a clear day reaching to Fair Isle and Shetland.
